Eliot Porter is generally credited with coining the term "Intimate Landscape" as it was the title of a 1979 exhibit of his photos at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, USA. The concept is simply 'less is more'; a smaller, more intimate area of detail within a larger "Grand Landscape"! A personal view of nature; a small scene. The subjects in my work are what others might pass by without noticing and they provide stories all their own. I look for details, textures, and patterns (some images' beauty is accentuated in monochrome). Patterns are nature’s rhythm.
